BANGALORE, NOV 19, 2017: THE Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, held a top-level meeting with the Infosys honchos, including Mr Nandan Nilekani, and sensitised the GSTN vendor to speed up the drive to find solutions to most of GSTN technical glitches. With over two lakh GSTR-2B of traders pending for the lack of facility to EDIT the return, Mr Modi extracted promise from Infosys to activate such a facility in 72 hours. It may be recalled that such a facility was provided for the returns filed for the month of July but then was withdrawn by the GSTN.
Mr Modi has also asked Infosys to deploy one engineer in every State for closer coordination with State GST officials. Infosys has so far deputed 30 Engineers and more will be deployed soon. After Mr Modi's previous meeting when Infosys had promised to find solutions to most technical glitches, about 100 more technical hands have been deployed to this project, taking the total number of IT professionals working on it to above 600.
