Finance Secretary to hold meeting on Saturday, to curb GST leakages

NEW DELHI, DEC 04, 2017: THE CBEC Board is scheduled to hold video videoconference with field formations on GST related issues on Tuesday.
The Finance Secretary is also scheduled to hold a meeting on December 9, 2017, to review the revenue trend under GST and also the steps to be taken to arrest leakages and increase revenue. This meeting will also include the State officers dealing with implementation of GST.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson has written to field formations that there are concerns amongst the exporters about delay in the grant of refunds pertaining to Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) paid on goods exported out of India and similarly Input Tax credit (ITC) on exports. To facilitate exporters to file refund columns properly, field officers have been directed to advice them to immediately file (a) Table 6A and GSTR 3B, if not already done, for processing of IGST refund (b) RFD 01A on GSTN portal for refund of the unutilized input tax credit on inputs or input services used in making exports and (c) GSTR 1 for August 2017 for amending details provided in July GSTR-1 wherever required.
