Four Sitting Judges of SC voice concern about certain 'things' in Administration

NEW DELHI, JAN 12, 2018: IN a major development having no precedent, the four Sitting Judges of the Apex Court today held a Press Conference and observed that the administration of the Supreme Court is 'not in order'.
Justice J Chelameswar, second only to the CJI in seniorty, said that many things which are 'less than desirable', have taken place in the Apex Court administration in the recent months.
The other three Judges who accompanied him were Justices M B Lokur, Ranjan Gogoi and Kurian Joseph. They said that they had earlier written to the CJI and also met him today and briefed him about certain issues but nothing positive has happened.
They insisted that the things which have happened in the SC Administration may be at the peril of the institution and the democracy is at stake. When asked about the 'incidents' they were referring to, allocation of cases was disclosed as one of the areas of concern.
