MUMBAI, JAN 22, 2018: IN the recent years the global elevators and escalators industry has gone through rapid transition supported by the advancement in technologies and increasing construction of skyscrapers catering to the fast paced vertical expansion of the cities. Growing urbanisation and an increase in commercial and industrial spaces in the country has led to a revolutionary change in tier one and tier two cities of India.
Cities once with buildings not more than three floors are now redeveloping into skyscrapers towering each other. This tremendous progress has been so rapid that it has made the Indian elevator market the second largest in the world and it is further expected to grow at 8.9% CAGR from 2016 crossing 104,000 units by 2021. Focussing on this growing segment, the International Elevator and Escalator Expo (IEE Expo) will be a pioneer platform to explore the possibilities this market has to offer. The exhibition will be open from February 27 to March 1, 2018 at Bombay Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mumbai.
Holding its first edition under the Messe Frankfurt umbrella, IEE Expo will be an ideal platform to establish business with trusted brands in the elevator and escalator market. The exhibition will host over 150 companies from India, China, Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Turkey, Switzerland and the UK. IEE Expo will showcase an array of technological advancements with smart and energy efficient options.
Receiving strong support from the Maharashtra Government, IEE Expo 2018 will showcase high end technologies that will be in-line with the steps taken by the government to develop and increase the use of elevators and escalators at railways, airports, metros. With taller buildings and larger space being consumed to create malls and commercials complexes, there is a need for new technologies, energy efficient alternatives and safety measures to be introduced in the market. IEE Expo will not only bring innovations to the shop floor but also host a seminar like the Electrical Inspectors Conclave amongst other insightful events on all three days of the exhibition.
