Revenue Targets - CBDT reallocates zonal targets after RE reduces its burden

NEW DELHI, MARCH 30, 2020: IT is COVID-time and thick clouds of uncertainties lurk in the air for future. Keeping in mind the deflating ground realities, the Govt has significantly reduced the Revised Target for the CBDT for the current fiscal. As against the Budget Estimates of Rs 13.35 lakh crore, the Govt has allocated the Revised Estimates of Rs 11.7 lakh crore - Rs 1.65 lakh crore less. In fact, this is also the BE for the next fiscal.

In view the revised targets, the CBDT has re-allocated the zonal targets for the field formations. In tune with the past trends, Mumbai has got a target of Rs 3.7 lakh Crore; Delhi Rs 1.65 lakh crore; Karnataka & Goa Rs 1.3 lakh crore; Pune Rs 62300 Crore; Tamil Nadu Rs 78200 Crore; AP & Telangana Rs 63000 Crore and Gujarat Rs 54300 Crore.
