NEW DELHI, JAN 14, 2021: PRIME Minister Mr Narendra Modi will interact with startups and virtually address 'Prarambh,' the Startup India International Summit on 16 January, his office said today.
Mr Modi had called upon youngsters to attend the summit in a bid to bring together top industry leaders, investors, and academics to work with young startups.
"No words can do justice to the spirit of India's youth. Their penchant for innovation has led to outstanding results. Our start-up heroes are not merely coming from big cities but also from smaller towns. This is a good sign," the Prime Minister wrote in a post on LinkedIn
"I look forward to as many youngsters to join the Startup India International Summit," he added.
The summit is being organized by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, on 15-16 January. It also marks the fifth anniversary of the Startup India initiative, launched by the Prime Minister in 2016.
With participation from over 25 countries and more than 200 global speakers, the summit will be the largest startup confluence organised by India since the launch of the initiative.
It will witness 24 sessions with focus on enhancing multilateral cooperation and engagement with countries from around the globe to collectively develop and strengthen the startup ecosystems.
