PM to address Davos Summit tomorrow

NEW DELHI, JAN 27, 2021: THE Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, will address the 51st World Economic Forum's Davos Dialogue virtually tomorrow via video conferencing, said his office.
The summit, which takes place from January 24-29 with an in-person meeting in Singapore in May, will see 15 special addresses from G20 heads of state, government leaders and international organisations.
Mr Modi is joined by other high-profile leaders who will also address the Davos agenda week, including Chinese Premier Mr Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
In the virtual session on Thursday, more than 400 top industry leaders, including Mukesh Ambani, Sunil Mittal, Anand Mahindra and Sanjiv Bajaj, will be present to hear the Prime Minister speak on the 'Fourth Industrial Revolution - using technology for the good of humanity.'
Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, Railways and Trade Minister Piyush Goyal, Oil and Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, and Textiles Minister Smriti Irani, will also be attending the session.
The Davos Agenda also marks the launch of the World Economic Forum's Great Reset Initiative where industry leaders and public figures will discuss how to advance and accelerate public-private collaboration on critical issues, such as the COVID-19 vaccination and climate change, among others.
