India records 11,610 new COVID-19 cases, 100 deaths

NEW DELHI, FEB 17, 2021: INDIA has reported 11,610 new COVID-19 cases along with 11,833 recoveries and 100 deaths in the past 24 hours according to the latest data on the Health Ministry's dashboard.
According to the ministry, the tally of confirmed cases climbed to 1,09,37,320, while 1,06,44,858 have recovered and were discharged. The number of fatalities stands at 1,55,913.
India's recovery rate is at 97.33 per cent of the confirmed cases while the fatality rate is 1.43 per cent.
There are 1,36,549 active coronavirus cases, which comprise 1.25 per cent of the total tally.
In addition, the Health Ministry said 89,99,230 people have been administered the COVID-19 vaccine so farm with 2.76 lakh received their shots over the past day.
The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said they have checked 20,79,77,229 samples for coronavirus as on February 16, including 6.44 lakh on the day itself.
