COVID-19: Postal dept, Customs start helpline to deliver emergency shipments

NEW DELHI, MAY 08, 2021: THE Customs authorities in collaboration with the Postal Department have set up a helpline to facilitate the clearance and delivery process of COVID-19 related emergency shipments received from abroad.

The Ministry of Communication said on Friday the shipments include oxygen concentrators, equipment, and essential medicines to battle the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The notice states that in order to further facilitate the clearances and faster delivery of such shipments, customers of the Postal Department and members expecting the consignment, can send its details to an email address or WhatsApp to a nodal officer.
