NOTIFICATION

G.S.R........ (E). The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Ammonium Nitrate Rules, 2012, which the Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of section 18 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby; and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of seven days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India containing this notification are made available to the public;

The objection or suggestion received from any person with respect to the said draft rules before the expiry of the aforesaid period will be considered by the Central Government.

Draft Rules

1. (1) These rules may be called the Ammonium Nitrate (Amendment) Rules, 2014.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Ammonium Nitrate Rules. 2012, in rule 5. after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-

"Provided further that all the existing manufacturers, converters, users, transporters, stevedores, sellers, possessors, importers and exporters shall comply with the provisions of sub-rules (1) and (2) of rule 22 from the 31st day of August 2014 ".
