Subject: Training programme on 'Effective Representation before ITAT' at NADT from 12.12.2013 to 13.12.2013 - Nominations - regarding

Kindly refer to the above.

2. NADT is organizing a two day training programme on 'Effective representation before ITAT' on 12th and 13th of December, 2013. The target population for this programme are the officers appearing before various benches of Income Tax Appellate Tribunal. The group will comprise of officers of the rank of CsIT to Addl./JCsIT.

3. The objective of the training programme is to enhance competency and capacity building in this significant area. The course contents include tax jurisprudence, interpretation of statutes, law of evidence, advocacy skills and other ancillary aspects.

4. In this regard, I would request you to kindly consider nominating atleast two to three officers of the rank of CsIT/Addl.CsIT/JCsIT who are posted as Departmental Representatives (DR) at ITAT in your region. the nominations for the noted programme may kindly be sent latest by 4th of December, 2013. You are requested further to nominate officers in reserve also so that in case any nominated officer is unable to attend due to some genuine hardship, the officers from reserve may immediately be requested to attend the training programme.

5. The nominated officers may kindly be advised to send their tour programme by email at adprnadt@gmail.com so as to enable us to make arrangements for accommodation and pick up vehicle.
