Govt invokes rule 56(j); 33 tax officials compulsorily retired

The present orders dismissing inefficient officials in the revenue is mole in the heap of rubbish The hole rubbish has to be cleared for efficient governance There are many inspectors and higher officials in the indirect tax offices who are not capable of drafting a simple letter leave aside show cause notices and adjudication orders The knowledge and drafting capacity of the officers should be tested before giving posting an official to that post where knowledge of rules and various judgements is required wile dealing with revenue cases
