2. Thus, Digital India campaign launched by the Government of India has been a keystone in the edifice of Good Governance. However, the Department of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax has not been able to keep pace with this campaign. It is evident from the fact that there is no website of Gwalior Commissionerate of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax since its creation in the month of October, 2014. Thus, details about Postal address, Telephone Numbers, Fax numbers and email addresses of Hqrs Office and subordinate offices are not available on internet in respect of Gwalior Commissionerate even after a period of 1 year and 11 months. The list of officers nominated as Central Public Information Officers (CPIO) has not been revised or updated in the website of Indore Commissionerate of Customs, Central Excise and Service Tax. Several officers of Indore Commissionerate have either retired or transferred elsewhere but their names still appear in this list.
