NEW DELHI, JUNE 04, 2018: HARDWORK with positive mindset and patience pays! And Bhubaneshwar CGST Commissionerate has earned huge dividends yielded by its sincere efforts. It undertook a quiet drive to identify non-filers of GSTR-3B and began counselling rather than threatening. Its officers deserve credit for taking the pain of educating them and explaining the benefts of filing GST returns.

And such an exercise which was taken after issuing notices to as many as 10,000 tax payers, did work. As per the report sent to the CBIC, a good number of them have not only filed returns but also deposited as much as Rs 280 Crore. A good work, indeed which needs to be 'xeroxed' by other CGST and SGST Commissionerates.
