GST - Amendments - govt receives over 1200 inputs

NEW DELHI, AUG 03, 2018: THE Union MoS for Finance, Mr Shiv Pratap Shukla, today in Parliament stated that the Government had invited comments from the stakeholders on the Draft Proposals for amending the GST laws by July 15, 2018. In this regard, he stated that a total of 1285 responses have been received on www.mygov.in portal till such date. Various representations on the proposed amendments have also been received from different trade and industry bodies, chambers of commerce and other stakeholders.
The Government has proposed around 46 Amendments to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws viz., the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 along with the respective State Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and GST (Compensation of States) Act, 2017.
